A christmas prayer

Sharing a prayer with you this Christmas season....


A voice says to my heart, “Yes, Rachael, try and remember what this season is really all about. It isn’t about fancy trees or wreaths but, rather, a humble couple in a lowly stable with a hand-hewn manger. It’s about My only begotten Son. It’s not about extravagant gifts, exhausting nights, or expensive parties. It’s about My extravagant love for you. It’s not about rushing around. It’s about resting in Me.”

O Lord, help me to put my focus squarely and completely on You this holiday season. Help me lead my children by example. Guard my schedule, my mind, my finances, and my words. Help me celebrate the greatest gift of all time, Your Son. Send my family opportunities to proclaim the good news of Your salvation as we seek to celebrate Jesus!
